Upon entering l'escale I am always entranced with its elegance. Pictured here is the red velvet curtain passage to the warm and charming bar area.
L'escale means "Port of Call" in French and the restaurant is located alongside the Greenwich Harbor. The bar area and dining room overlook the water, and there is an outside dining area with a lively and fashionable bar available in season.
There are very few restaurants with water views in Fairfield County, Connecticut and l'escalehas the ultimate.
The dining room is bright with light and appeal.
L'escale seated our party of twenty at three tables surrounding the handsome stone mantel which encased a hearty fire.
A French/Mediterranean restaurant with a wonderful selection of seafood.
Here is a special of that day: Grilled Mahi Mahi Organic Brown Rice, Apple-Pear Chimichurri
A delicate blend of mild white fish with herbal chimichurri contrasting splendidly with the gentle tartness of the fruit.
Service, as usual, was very polished and impeccable.
The luncheon was a delicious foundation for our sunny afternoon stroll up and down Greenwich Avenue.
Thank you l'escale for an upscale, tasty and wonderful dining experience!
