Come Celebrate Independence Day with an explosive Grucci Firework show. Fireworks explode just after dark, usually around 9:15 PM, from a barge off of Long Island Sound so the show can be seen easily from either Penfield or Jennings Beaches.

Limited Parking: Beach Parking lots can be accessed either with a Season Beach Sticker or by purchasing a Daily Pass for $50.00 per vehicle (cash only). Daily Passes will be limited to the first 300 vehicles at Jennings Beach and 100 vehicles at Penfield Beach. A Daily Parking Fee will also be charged to park at the Ash Creek Open Space Parking Lot the day of the fireworks.
Lots will fill. Plan on getting there early so as not to be disappointed.
Restrictions: Please remember that Alcoholic Beverages are not permitted on Town beaches, and you will not be permitted to bring your own grill.

For the thirteenth consecutive year, the Town will present displays at Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park. Both displays are scheduled for Saturday, July 7th, with a rain date of Sunday, July 2nd. The Binney Park Show will start at approximately 9:10 pm and the Greenwich Point Show will begin at approximately 9:35 pm. It is strongly recommended that anyone planning to attend either display and especially the Greenwich Point display arrive early.
Spectators at Greenwich Point will be entertained by a disc jockey stationed near the South Concession area starting at 7:00 pm. The fireworks display will be fired from the corner of Greenwich Point (Bluff Point), well beyond the South Concession Stand.
The Binney Park display will feature the Sound Beach Community Band. They will begin performing at 8:00 pm. They will be located on the Showmobile near the flag pole near Sound Beach Avenue.

The 38th Annual New Canaan Family Fourth of July Celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Waveny Park (raindate of Thursday, July 5- Fireworks Only). The late day activities will include: family picnicking, live music, children's games area, food court, and a spectacular fireworks display. A complete program of the day's activities will be published in the New Canaan Advertiser. Event passes are necessary to enter the park both by car or walking and may be purchased at the Recreation Department Office, Town Hall, and by New Canaan residents online at www.newcanaan.info The Family Fourth of July Celebration is made possible entirely through contributions from New Canaan residents, the business community, and local civic organizations. A community mailing will be sent out in late May with additional information about the event and where to purchase passes. The 2018 pass fee is expected to be $35 for residents.

Rowayton Fireworks will light up the sky offshore from Bayley Beach Wednesday evening, July 4. The fireworks, sponsored by the RCA, will be launched from a barge beginning at 9:15pm. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes. See below for more information on parking and picnicking.

11/05/16 & 11/06/16 CraftWestport is the longest running indoor fine craft event in Connecticut. For 41 years, this show has been the perfect place for unique, one-of-a-kind, holiday shopping. It features 175 top craft artists from across the country and includes a pop-up Marketplace of local Connecticut makers. CraftWestport has been run by the enthusiastic and hardworking volunteers of Westport Young Woman’s League since 1976 and the funds raised by the League are given to worthy local charitable organizations. |

Kid's Activities at Branson Hall On Saturday, November 26 and December 10, we'll have fun activities your kids will enjoy, including watching the "Polar Express" move, crafts, and an Earthplace activity. While this is not babysitting, you should be able to escape for a bit to do some holiday shopping!
Holiday Music
We will have a number of regional groups performing across downtown to make the season bright.
This will include
Staple's Orphenians (12/10, 2 -4PM and 12/22, 5-7PM),
Acoustic Dizzy Fish (12/13, 4-6PM and 12/20, 4-6PM) and
the Pop Music Academy (12/17, 12-3PM)
Santa Visits
Santa will be downtown!

Horse & Buggy Rides
come enjoy a nostalgic ride on 12/22 from 3-6PM

Outdoor Crafts Festival Greenwich Bruce Museum 05/20/17 10A - 5P The Outdoor Crafts Festival runs rain or shine from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on the grounds of the Museum. Over 70 artisans, many new to the show, gather to share their unique talents and crafts at this nationally recognized event. Juried exhibitors specialize in ceramics, wearable and decorative fiber, glassware, wood kitchenwares and furniture, jewelry and more - all available for purchase. The Festival also includes demonstrations, activities for children, international cuisine, and live musical performances on both days. |
