"Low Tech – High Art"
Fri 01/18/19 6P - 8P
Members: $20 | Non- members: $25 | Directors Circle: Free
Join us for a special projector performance and workshop with local artist Renee Kahn. Small bites and refreshments will be served.
Stamford artist and art historian, Renee Kahn has the perfect after-dark activity for a cold January night, a demonstration of the creative ways artists can use the now obsolete, often discarded overhead projector. Her performance "Low Tech - High Art." will show the many ways in which this simple device can create unique, often breathtaking works of art. Guests will have the opportunity to play with the projectors themselves at the end of the presentation.
Kahn has been an artist her entire adult life, beginning with her training at the High School of Music & Art in Manhattan and the City College of New York where she received both graduate and undergraduate degrees. She is now a full-time artist (her life-long dream) and works out of a former mural painter’s studio in North Stamford, large enough for twenty-foot tall projections.
