JAY STOLLMAN & SCOTT SPRAY, former bassist of the Johnny Winter Band; Special Guest MATT SCHOFIELD, British Blues Hall of Fame Inductee
Jay Stollman and Scott Spray are two Bridgeport boys “done good”! Together they have traveled the world performing with legendary artists...Grammy and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. Jay Stollman is a “singer’s singer”.....a fire and brimstone, Soul/Blues shouter with a full throttle, take no prisoner’s approach to his music. Grammy winning Bluesman Johnny Winter put it best when he said, “One of today’s most soulful and powerful blues singers. The real deal!” Stollman performed the world over to enthusiastic audiences, sharing the stage with James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Bo Diddley, Elton John, The Temptations, Four Tops, Jose Feliciano, Johnny Winter, Joan Osborne and Blues Traveler, to name a few. Scott Spray is one of America’s most recorded bassists, logging thousands of studio hours and appearing on approximately 1000 albums. Most recently, Scott spent 15+ years as the recording and touring bassist for legendary Bluesman, Johnny Winter. Spray supplied his smooth and steady bass grooves for Winter’s final album, “STEP BACK”......which won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Blues Album. He is a sought after studio and live performance icon with credits galore. Though he holds a British passport and is an inductee of the British Blues Hall of Fame, Matt Schofield has been making his mark globally as one of the top players in the new class of six string wunderkinds. The Los Angeles Daily News wrote, ‘ In Schofield, the UK has produced the best Blues guitarist from any country in decades… head and shoulders above the herd’, while Guitar & Bass Magazine rated him in the top ten British blues guitarists of all time ranking him with icons Eric Clapton and Peter Green. |

CHRIS D'AMATO & BILLY BILECA
Chris D'Amato, aka Smokin' Opey, has been playing blues guitar professionally for the past 30 years. He is equally adept in acoustic or electric band settings, and is at home playing many styles of blues and slide guitar. Whether Chris is coaxing sounds of the Delta from his steel bodied National guitar, fingerpicking piedmont style rags or flatpicking colorful melodies on a vintage gibson, one can hear every style of Americana he has absorbed along the way. Chris’s guitar playing will surely captivate fans of true roots music. Chris is a two-time Connecticut Blues Society solo/duo finalist and a finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. |
THE ZAMBONIS
The Zambonis are Connecticut’s — make that the world’s — only all-hockey band. The Zambonis take hockey so seriously they sought (and received) permission to use the trademarked name of the ubiquitous ice resurfacer. Over the years, the group’s songs have been featured on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” ESPN2, FOX Sports, “NHL Live” on Sirius/XM Radio and on syndicated hockey programs including “Hockey Week” and “Cool Shots,” as well as in hockey arenas across the country. The band has even performed at two NHL all-star games, in 2002 and 2011. |
