"Summer Night in Paris!" at the Bruce Museum - Greenwich

Fairfield County "It!" had a fabulous time at
"Summer Night in Paris"
at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut.

The sold out event offered the opportunity to view the exhibit "Electric Paris" which is a delightful assortment of art work depicting the evolving development of light from candlesticks and oil lamps to gas lamps and electricity during the 19th century in Paris "The City of Light".

This picture of the Eiffel Tower depicts both gas and electricity being used to light it up in the night sky.

We were serenaded by a delightful French jazz band:

Gavroche

Tasty Parisian inspired bites were beautifully served on silver platters with floral bouquets.

The party was catered by
Aux Delices,
with tasty bites from
Bistro V &
Meli-Melo.
The Kneaded Bread provided French bread!
Dessert by Le Pain Quotidien.

Val's Putnam Wines offered tasty French wine:

Sancerre, Sparkling, Rosé

to name a few.

Great Mime Entertainment was offered by the very talented
Peter Straus & Co.

A beautiful evening!

Fairfield County "It!"

had a delightful time at

"Art Southampton"

at Nova's Ark Project in
Bridgehampton, NY

When Adrien Brody is not busy picking up Oscars,
he spends time creating art for a better world.
The exhibit is called "Hooked".
The proceeds go to charities.

As a child, Edwina Sandys, Winston Churchill's grandaughter, was inspired by her grandfathers joy in painting. During the 70's she began to sculpt carerra marble often into monumental pieces of art.

Here is "Equss"

"If I close my eyes and run my hands over the sculpture, I know its right, if its working. Feeling the marble is like stroking a horse or the skin of a beautiful man" - Edwina

Here is a less monumental piece,
at least for Jeff Koons.
Much of his latest work towers over you,
this one is more home or office adaptable.

I loved meeting this disappointed duo.

Claire Shegog - Hollywood Busby Berkeley Series

I was struck by this dazzling mirrored art. The core is made up of circular rows of identical miniature dolls
hand painted by the artist, Claire Shegog. Claire's inspiration for the art is Busby Berkeley circa early Hollywood.

Jeff Robb "Unnatural Causes"
Shine Artists LONDON

Jeff Robb is known for lenticular photographic work. He puts a nude model in a box, takes numerous pictures vertically & horizontally and blends all the photos into one. Afterward, he positions a photo from different angles.
The overall effect is a multi-dimensional visual experience.
And a bit of a puzzle.

Afterward we rested on a blow up swan!

We had a wonderful time exploring the various artistic expressions at
Art Southampton!

Cocktails on Yacht Mariner III! Hosted by Val's Putnam Wines & Liquors of Greenwich - Delamar Harbor Cruise

Fairfield County "It" attended a
yacht wine and dine cruise hosted by
Val's Putnam Wines & Liquors of
Greenwich, Connecticut.
We sailed on
Yacht Mariner III
under a star filled sky out of the Greenwich Delamar Harbor.

Val's Putnam Wine & Liquors threw the event in honor of their wine connoisseur clients!

Delicious wines, such as
Altaneve Prosecco,
cocktails and tasty hors' deoveurs were served.

and promoter of the wine cruise.

After enjoying the
starlit evening and soft sea breeze on the top deck of the yacht,
we headed down to the main quarters for dancing and
had a fabulous time moving to lively Latino music!

What a perfect way to spend a summer evening!
