Tres Magnifique! Brunch at Bernard's

A day of French Cuisine & Contemporary Art!

Fairfield County "It!"  recently had a delightful French inspired Brunch at Bernard's, followed by the opening reception at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum:  

​Painting in Four Takes.   

Bernard's offers a delicious three course Sunday Brunch:  
Appetizer, Entree and Dessert for $39.      
Here is the Scallops Rosace, Asparagus, Hearts of Palm & Citrus Lemon Dressing.  

Stunning to look at and tastefully composed.

​We were thrilled to dine in the adorable Monkey Room, just for our group!

As you can see in the photo, we were not short on conversation. Everyone was having a great time, just like the pictured Monkeys!

My entree was the Braised Veal Breast, Creamy Polenta, Broccoli Rabe, Carrots with Truffle Sauce.  

An earthy Fall medley of organic veal, polenta and vegetables.  

​Bernard's prides itself on only using the freshest locally sourced ingredients for its fine dining menu.

Much to our delight, Chef Bernard joined us and discussed his passion for French cuisine which began during his childhood while growing up in    France.  

Later he came to New York City and worked under Daniel Buloud at Le Cirque, where he met his charming, culinary soulmate and wife Sarah.

After our fabulous brunch, we headed around the block to the Aldrich Contemporaty Art Museum.  

The museum was packed with art lovers of all ages eager to see the new exhibit:

We had the chance to talk to  artist Hayal Pozanti who said she created the specific works of art displayed at the Aldrich with that particular room in mind.  She is a fascinating young woman.  Pictured here is painting "18" juxtaposed over "Sixty Seven".
