​Holiday Cheer in New Canaan!

​Fairfield County "It!"
​had a festive time attending the
New Canaan Holiday Stroll sponsored by the
​New Canaan Chamber of Commerce.

​
Elm Street was aglow with lights and cheerful people enjoying the various activities offered during the two day Holiday Stroll.

​
​One of our first stops was at Earth Garden.  It was full of floral splendor!  I was delighted with every square inch of the store decorations and greenery options.

​


​

Afterward we visited ELM restaurant, which was invitingly lit.  They specialize in seasonal farm-to-table regional American cuisine.  

​We were offered samples of their delicious Sunchoke Soup with Burgundy Truffle.  
The delicate hazelnut aroma of the truffle nicely complemented the savory soup.  

ELM's Executive Chef, 
Luke Vernon, 
was recently recognized by
​Serendipity Magazine as one of the most innovative chefs in the region.

Then we were off to Design Solutions which was filled to the gills with delightful and clever holiday decorating treasures.

At Franco's Wine Merchants I was very impressed with their wine selection.  It is rare to find a wine store stocked with so many hard to find and highly regarded bottles of wine. 

We also enjoyed a complimentary glass of Taittinger Champagne.

We thoroughly enjoyed the art and LOVE the new location on Elm Street.

​Besides visiting Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch,
children could pet cute pug dogs in a little red wagon!

Later, we stepped into
The Summer House
and enjoyed their selections of charming Winter accessories.   The store offers an eclectic collection of high-end furniture, stylish home accents, one-of-a-kind antiques and exquisite gifts.

New Canaan offers a wide variety of independent, creative, high quality fashion and decor shops, notable art galleries and terrific dining options.  

A "Jewel of a Place" to spend a day and
