An Exhibition of 24 images and stories from each artist, about real and imagined people from life’s shadow's Miggs Burroughs will present a series of 24 mugshots with their rap sheets, dating back to the early 1900s which, using his signature lenticular technique, will change, as the viewer walks by, into the innocent baby photo of each thug. What choices lead these characters down such dismal paths? Ann Chernow's work is based on impressions related to Film Noir, the American movie genre of the 1940s. For this exhibition of "Fictitious Icons" Chernow has chosen to digitally abstract the heads of Noir stars not readily identfiable: their foibles, written and displayed in stories beneath the digital images. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now am found T'was blind but now I see.
