"Study Late Night City" Geoffrey Johnson, Oil on Panel, 2016 24x36
The gallery full of Geoffrey Johnson city inspired paintings brought to mind so many fabulous memories of NYC. "Study Late Night City" took me strolling South on 5th Ave during the Holidays. The city glowing with lights, warmth and vitality! "Study for Bryant Park" Geoffrey Johnson, Oil on Panel, 2015 18x32 Now we are in delightful Bryant Park with its beauty and elegance, surrounded by high rise buildings and next to the gorgeous Beaux-Arts New York Public Library. Bryant Park began as the Croton Reservoir, later became drug infested (Needle Park) and now is a delightful break from the midtown hustle and bustle. I always get a feeling of happiness when I walk by and/or enter this lovely burst of nature, which frequently hosts cultural and culinary happenings, just steps off 42nd Street. "Along Broadway" Geoffrey Johnson, Oil on Panel, 2015 14x24 Heading up Broadway on the way to the fabulous ABC Carpet and Design Store! "Edge of Central Park" Geoffrey Johnson, Oil on Panel, 2016 36x24 On route to The Plaza Hotel after a delightful walk through Central Park. "Steps at Night" Geoffrey Johnson, Oil on Panel, 2016 30x30 Looking back at the steps of The Metropolitan Museum after viewing a fabulous exhibit or enjoying its extraordinary collection of art. Until the next time, THE MET!! Snow Park Ave, Geoffrey Johnson, Oil on Panel, 2015 36x24 Ending the day on Park Avenue on foot to Grand Central Station. Thank you Geoffrey Johnson and Hubert Gallery for the wonderful visual journey through New York City! "It!" Woman Kyle Comments are closed.
