Fairfield County "It!" had a
delightful Sunday afternoon at the

"Greenwich Polo Club's
​Monty Waterbury Cup"

in
backcountry Greenwich, CT

The Monty Waterbury Cup is the third oldest USPA trophy that is still in competition, 
named in honor of 10-goal
polo legend
James "Monty" Waterbury.  
He was a member of
The Wanderers polo team that won the first U.S. Open Polo Championship in 1904.
 
This was the 4th time the Monty Waterbury Cup was hosted at the Greenwich Polo Club.

​Veuve Clicquot is one of the sponsors and kept the bubbles flowing throughout the event.

They also provided a large orange umbrella that we were lucky
​to sit under
during the sunny hot breezy afternoon!

Cabana

You can bring your own picnic or throw a party under a cabana.  Lots of different cost levels.  
All of them offer a wonderful time!

​During half-time everyone entered the field to
"Stomp the Divots"! 

A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
