Green Gold, Champagne Cocktails, Quartets , SculPture, ART & Hermaphrodites - Stamford Art Walk6/30/2016
I enjoyed Loft Artist Association's artist Sholeh Janati's Sextet of Fish at the Palace Theatre. I would love to hang them up at my sea house. As soon as I get a sea house!
We finished up at the Franklin Street Works which featured moving art forms such as this video of a male/female figure. Apparently, the hermaphrodite concept
has been subject to artistic interpretation for a while now as demonstrated below in another "Pergamon" sculpture from the Hellenistic Period 323 BC to AD. Hitchcock - Pyscho, Edward Hopper & Cocktails on the Roof of the Metropolitan Museum of ARt!6/23/2016

Day 3. Robert Klein Still Can't Stop his Leg LOL: The Big Business of Comedy Moderated by Mike Fleming Jr., film editor of Deadine Hollywood, the panel of legendary talent included Richard Brener (Sex in the City, Wedding Crashers), Chris Bender (American Pie, The Hangover), Will Arnett (Arrested Development, 30 Rock), Peter Principato (Wet Hot American Summer) and Stuart Cornfeld (The Fly, Zoolander, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty). Some of the categories discussed were the difficulty to make a funny film in todays sensitive media environment, deciding what makes it into a film & what to cut, the pros & cons of scripted comedic writing vs. improvisation and the constant need to reexamine what will deliver with todays audience. Much to our dismay, we were unable to attend Day 4. The 2nd Annual Greenwich Interntional Film Festival was a great success at meeting its mission of Film, Philanthropy & Finance to make a difference! "It!" Woman Kyle Charity Partners

Here is a watercolor by Vivian Reed. The exhibit was founded to honor Vivian & Stanley Reed who were two of the original members of the Stamford Art Association and also avid sailors. Kenneth Julian Martin "Confluence of Species" Pencil We had a chance to talk to Joyce Grasso about her art. Below is a beach scene she painted while in Florida. She told me her art is about whatever the viewer interprets. What I saw was Newport Beach, California looking back across the bay from the beach along the Pacific Ocean. Where does it take you? We all had a delightful time and look forward to next years "Vivian & Stanley Reed Marine Art Show" at the Stamford Art Association! "It!" Woman Kyle

"Style is what makes you different; it’s your own stamp, a message about yourself.” Jacqueline de Ribes
Jacqueline was born to an aristocratic French family and later married a Count. That sounds very enviable, but her childhood was challenged by the early loss of her beloved grandfather, and World War II, where she personally witnessed numerous atrocities at the hands of the Nazi's. She finished her education at a convent, where she was put in charge of the school plays, which included designing wardrobe for the shows.
“I was always timid about going to Chanel, though, I was afraid she wouldn’t agree to my meddling.” Jacqueline de Ribes “Elegance is the art of being astonishing without creating astonishment.” Jacqueline de Ribes
Later, in the 1980's and 1990's Jacqueline created her own couture collection.
