The Exraordinary Jen Bricker's Life without Legs - STAR, Inc Lighting the Way!

Jen Bricker.

Jen Bricker's Romanian parents left her at the hospital after discovering she was born without legs. Initially placed in a foster home, a wonderful loving and accepting family adopted her.  

With the fabulous support of her adoptive family Jen fearlessly tackled her mobility issue and achieved interesting goals such as roller skating with her arms and hands.  When she was six she saw Dominique Moceanu (Olympic gymnast from Romania) on TV and decided she wanted to pursue gymnastics.

At 16 a friend of hers that was adopted discovered her biological parents and Jen asked her mother if she knew anything about her  biological parents?  

Her mother told her the last name was Moceanu.  The Olympic champion Dominque Moceanu is actually her biological sister.  

Jen and Dominique connected and now enjoy spending time together. 

​Today, Jen tours around the world as an aerialist, public speaker and recently wrote a book "Everything is Possible".

   
​ There were about 300 guests and the benefit raised close to $50,000 for STAR’s programs and neighbors
​who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

​STAR is celebrating their 65th anniversary serving Westport, Wilton, Weston, Norwalk, Darien and New Canaan.
