Cotto recently revamped their team and it is excellent: Claudio’s impressive background took flight in 1994 while managing the trendy Green Club, an American bistro in Ostia Lido, Rome before going on to own and operate Lasergun Pub in Via Giordani, Infernetto, Open Bar Wine Bar and Disco in Ostio Lido, and Trattoria Oggi C’e’, in Casal Palocco. Chef Rolando Guardado, formerly of Fairfield County’s Z Hospitality Group, recently joined Claudio, refreshing COTTO’s menu and creating a catering arm for the business. Accredited Sommelier Ian Toogood came to COTTO via Marc Restaurant Group’s A Voce in Manhattan and Le Fat Poodle in Greenwich, CT, revamping COTTO’s wine list and further elevating its service. Completing the team is bartender Eric Bufo, who created a name for himself while at Walrus & Carpenter in the Black Rock neighborhood of Bridgeport, CT. You are in great culinary hands with this impressive team of restaurant professionals. The depth of knowledge about Italy's wine and food, culinary skill,
quality and housemade ingredients left me feeling well taken care of. Thank you Cotto Wine Bar & Restaurant for an authentic delightful Roma evening! "It!" Woman Kyle The Love of Art in SONO - LoveArt Gallery & Studio's "Revolution Art for Positive Social change"!3/9/2017

According to the Wine Institute, “The coastal areas of California are highly prized wine grape growing regions due to their proximity to the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean and a wide diversity of soils and topography. This long stretch of land is ideal for the cultivation of classic wine grape varieties and the production of world-class wines.”
The New Canaan Wine Merchants gave 10% of the proceeds from that evening to the New Canaan Community Foundation.
Go to their beautiful store in New Canaan for a fabulous wine/beer/liquor selection! I highly recommend visiting Talley Vineyards on your next California Wine Country Journey! A very delightful way to While/Wine away the Time! "It!" Woman Kyle

Stamford Art Association! Definitely go see the exhibit before it closes February 2, 2017. SAA Website 39 Franklin Street, Stamford CT 06901 Gallery Open Thurs thru Sun 12P - 3P 203.325.1139 "It!" Woman Kyle Fairfield County "It!" had an amazing art time meeting Frida Kahlo & Zubeida Agha two of the Guerrilla Girls at "Guerilla Girls Take on Greenwich!" at the Bruce Museum. The Guerrilla Girls are Feminist Artists that wear Guerrilla masks for anonymity and take on the identity of deceased female artists as they travel the globe stirring the art world up about female artist representation and democracy! Below is Zubeida Agha discussing the decision making process of the Guerrilla Girls when targeting art unjustice and an exhibit in the Tate Modern in London which features the Guerrilla Girls across from the Andy Warhol collection. The Guerrilla Girls did a survey of artists in The Metropolitan Museum of Art and were outraged that only 5% of the artists represented in the Modern Art Section were women, but 85% of the nudes are female. They believe that big money influences what art gets into the larger art institutions and that strongly impacts which art gets more attention and therefore higher prices (the artists selected by the museums also tend to be collected by the big money influencers). The Guerrilla Girls want art institutions to reorganize and address the inequities in their art selection processes and correct the ridiculous ratio of male to female artists in their galleries. Wine was offered by Val's Putnam Wines & Spirits and tasty bites were offered throughout the mingle by the Bruce Musuem. Thank you Bruce Museum & Guerrilla Girls for such a thought provoking art event and raising our consciousness about woman art representation and democracy in the art world! "It!" Woman Kyle
My favorites from Paul G. Larson were Marilyn and Mick! Ellen Gordon Brown explained to us about her approach to this style of painting. She paints the entire picture only looking at the model never glancing at her creation until it is complete! A definite "Must See".

"The exhibit questions the cultural and symbolic meanings of the hand-made dichotomy. Typically the hand has been identified with exclusivity and individuality as well as with elitist and the cult of personalty. Similarly the machine has been understood to signify not only progress and democracy but also dehumanization and homogenization. In examining these values, the show's intention is to liberate the handmade and the machine-made from their usual confines of the haute couture and pret-a-porter, releasing them from the exigencies of the fashion system with the hands of fashion designers for whom they serve as the process of creative impulses." The Metropolitan Museum of Art Below is a sampling of the more than 100 examples of haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear from the 1880's to 2015 displayed in this fantastic exhibit. Each item is paired with a description of the materials, information on what was machine made vs. hand sewn and insight about the piece from each designer. The show is an incredibly informative and fascinating look into the design process.
